I was hesitant whether to make this post or not but I said here goes nothing. Ill start with the positive comments. Food was awesome !!! I enjoyed everything this was our 2nd time coming here and I have to say the dinner items are more my favorite their crabs are to die for ! Service was great ! But i had a bad experience with the host in the front named gliner very rude person never smiled and just her personality comes off as a rude person . My daughter 7 years old tried to hug her when we walked in there & you should've seen the face she made like she was disgusted or something that I had to apologize to her & never did she say anything back she remained with a negative face/attitude .but the cashier was so sweet she truly made my daughter's day because she came over to our table and offered her some chopstick helpers and asked her for a hug since she was in the front & saw how the host rejected my daughter !now that's the type of customer service we like that my husband had to tip her cause she made his baby's day by asking for a hug . The cashiers name is Mayra very sweet person she definitely needs some kind of recognition because not everyone has a good energy or personality in the restaurant industry.

Endless entrees of chicken, meats, and shrimp . Sushi bar full along with a salad bar and deserts. Friendly staff and great service. Priced well for the choices and all you can eat.

This place is good for a lunchtime, The restaurant is clean and the service is good. They have more choices and various foods for the price of $14.00 compared to King Star $13.49. However their steak-pepper and chicken stirred fried are not well. It is special to have a Beef-tripe (honeycomb and pocket tripe, blanket/flat/smooth tripe, book/bible/leaf tripe) and the seashell salad is so great and nice.

Other China Star Buffet places have better interior design and atmosphere than this one. The staff who clean the tables are polite and fast. Replenishing the food in the buffet area is not that fast. My favorite is the baked mussels.

Nice place and a comfy atmosphere. I like the variety of food and how spacious it is. Just that the salmon tasted stale. Aside that, it was very nice

Food is good but not amazing. I enjoyed the honey walnut shrimp, garlic shrimp, plantains, and my husband enjoyed the orange chicken and 1 or 2 other things on his plate. For less than $20 a person this place is worth it.

The buffet location most frequently visited since other nice spots have closed and were ahead of their time (remember Fu-Kim on Fannin?). Best time to come is when they open; you view the staff loading the buffet trays, get seated at your desired location and enjoy the freshly prepared items. I've also enjoyed their food at different times- still good but more difficult to get a table where you want . Photos show some of the selections offered - and they currently are serving delicious pineapple and watermelon fresh fruit during the dinner and weekend buffet times. Photos are from the lunch time opening - IHOP had a 40 minute wait, so we went to the buffet which opened at 11AM - a better option anyway . Enjoy the photos!
